The number of Palestinians killed in Gaza reaches 34,000

Israel's attack on the Gaza Strip, which began last October, is still ongoing. Already, the number of Palestinians killed in the region is approaching 34,000. The Ministry of Health of the region informed this information on Thursday.

The ministry said in a statement that at least 71 people were killed and 106 wounded in Gaza in the past 24 hours as a result of Israeli strikes. In this, the number of Palestinians killed in seven months from October 7 has increased to at least 33 thousand 970 people. In addition, 76 thousand 770 people were injured during this time.

The ministry also said many people were still trapped under the rubble and on the streets. Because rescuers cannot reach them.

On October 7, the Palestinian armed group Hamas launched a cross-border attack on Israel. According to Tel Aviv, about 1,200 people were killed in that attack. Since the attack, Israel has continued to attack the Gaza Strip. Israel imposed a blockade on the Palestinian territories. This has put the people of the region, especially the residents of northern Gaza, on the brink of starvation.

Meanwhile, according to the United Nations, 85 percent of the territory's residents are internally displaced amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine due to the Israeli war on Gaza. 60 percent of the territory's infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.

In addition, Israel is accused of genocide in the International Court of Justice. An interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to cease genocidal actions and take measures to guarantee humanitarian aid to Gaza's civilians.

But attacks continue and aid delivery to humanitarian disasters remains woefully inadequate.
